I have the same issue, on a HP machine. Autodesk maya 2015 crack file download.
The original KB article references an Adaptec Dell PERC 3 / Di RAID Controller issue on Windows 2008 (!) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/941024/message-when-you-run-the-windows-server-2008-system-compatibility-repo
HP's forum contains a reference to this, but the response is along the lines of 'switch it off and on again', and not particularly informed or helpful. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Error-during-windows-10-1709-update/td-p/6462803
In my case, the error shown by the windows 10 update process also says I must remove 'VirusScan8', a product I don't have and never hand installed. I did have a McAfee product, removed it and rebooted - and still get the flag for 'VirusScan 8'.
